“Stop whining!” she said bitterly. “Haven’t I told you before? Haven’t I told you a million times? Trusting means hurting and it’s bound to be sooner or later. You should have known better you silly girl!”
She could not bear look upon who she called “a weak person”. She felt anger, not only to the wrongdoers or her stupid little sister, but also to herself for she did not took very good care of her.
“Now, now, dear, don’t go all mushy and start crying! You know tears won’t do you any good”
The squirrel-looking woman sitting at the table, with her head leaning on her hands, sounded like she was actually crying. But to her sister’s astonishment, she was laughing.
“Sister dearest, why don’t you take all your smart speeches and shove ‘em down your pipes!”
“It is in your best interest to hear these from me! Not go experiencing them. You just have to take it from me, because…”
“… I’m your big sister and I’m always right ‘cos I know better. Is that so?”
The woman standing with her arms crossed, look bewildered. She had never heard her sister talking to her like that.
“Well, well” she sneered “it looks like after all, you are not quite as weak and tamed as I thought you were. You still have to practice not to look so utterly silly, though”
She left her sitting at that table, with watery eyes from which anyone, less a blind person, could read the misery she was overwhelmed by.
“She’s right” she thought to herself. “Where is my defence mechanism?! Why did I make such a stupid mistake in lowering the walls? It’s all because I’m weak. I want to be as strong as she is. She really is strong! I never saw her care about anyone or anything but me, but I am not going to let her down, am I?”
